Antonio Allegri da Correggio was the foremost painter of the Parma school. The school, particularly Correggio, was influenced by Leonardo da Vinci and the Mannerist movement with its subjective and emotional approach to painting.
Correggio was a big inspiration for the latter Rococo art movement with his paintings of extraordinarily sensuous mythologies.
