Egon Schiele died at very young age: he was only 28 when he died of the influenza epidemic that claimed over 20,000,000 lives worldwide.
Egon Schiele was not afraid of using nudity in his paintings, but in those days that was very controversial. He was even shortly imprisoned for obscenity in 1912.
