Eugène Boudin was a big favorite of painting seas and shores. Because he has made so many paintings, it is difficult to name some most important and/or remarkable. His pastels, summary and economic, garnered the splendid eulogy of Baudelaire, and Corot who, gazing at his pictures, said to him, "You are the master of the sky."
