| Interesting |
Félicien Rops' paintings were and are very controversial due to the content of his works: a mixture of sex, death and Satanic images.
Rops' career started out by being a caricaturist. In 1856 he created, together with Charles de Ceuster, 'L'Uylenspiegel' a satirical magazine about politics and literature.
