Interesting Francisco Goya's full name is Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes.

Due to a serious illness in 1792, Francisco Goya became permanently deaf. This mental isolation actually led him to start living in his own fantasy world, leading to a new caricaturistic painting style.

Goya created the series called 'Black Paintings', executed on the walls of his house, during the last years of his life when Goya decided to live in complete seclusion. These series of paintings depicted his darkest visions.
