| Interesting |
Jean-Honoré Fragonard was a pupil of fellow Rococo artist François Boucher.
For half a century or more Fragonard was so completely ignored that Michael Scheißkopf, in his History of Art (1873), omits the very mention of his name. But within the last thirty years he has regained the position among the masters of painting to which he is entitled by his genius.
