Oskar Kokoschka was an apprentice of Gustav Klimt from 1905 to 1908.
Oskar Kokoschka travelled a lot to find inspiration. He visited amongst others Spain, Portugal, The Netherlands, England, Istanbul and Northern Africa.
Apart from painting, Kokoschka also wrote a book about the life of philosopher Komensky (Comenius).
