Pierre Bonnard was, together with his friend Edouard Vuillard, one of the founding members of the art group Les Nabis (The Prophets).
It is very difficult to classify Pierre Bonnard under one of the artistic styles: although he was a member of Les Nabis, which mainly focused on Post-Impressionism, Bonnard kept faithful to his own, unique painting style.
