Today’s unknown artwork of the day is by Alida Saxon who is also moderator of the Flickr group “Your Art – Not Photography“. This work is part of a series including the Four Seasons and Elements: Winter/Water, Spring/Air, Summer/Earth, Autumn/Fire. A print of this work is available at Zazzle.
Today’s featured artwork is one by William Smart. It is a pastel drawing on black paper and measures 28 ” x 22 ” (71 x 56 cm). You can find the drawing on Ebay.
Today’s featured painting (although it’s really a print) is Single Pear by Mae Buzz. The first line of her profile says “I believe that art should be fun and affordable for everyone!” and that is exactly what she has to offer. The pear is available in different sizes, but I think it would look best if it’s rather big. Have a look at Mae Buzz’ profile. And she also has her own blog.
Today I had some time to wander around Ebay again which is where I found the artist Nancy Poucher. She uses pastels which really seem to suit the nautical scenes she depicts. This painting is called Sailboat Reflections II and measures 5 x 7 inches (13 x 18 cm). And ofcourse, here’s the website from Nancy Poucher.
Our unknown painting of the day is “Frogs” by Marjolein Bos. It measures 14 x 14 inches (36 x 36 cm). The concept of her blog is interesting: if people like a painting they can place a bid. Then Marjolein decides whether she accepts it or not. And ofcourse here’s the link to Marjolein Bos’ blog (mainly in Dutch).
This small (12″ x 9″ = 30 x 23 cm) painting by the Dutch artist Jan Blencowe was already painted in 2005. I’m guessing the summer back then was a little bit better than the one in 2007. I wouldn’t know where to put this painting, but I like it nonetheless. Here’s Jan Blencowe’s website (in Dutch).

Something poparty for our unknown painting of the day. I know that’s two Elvis posts in one week, but he’s worth it. It’s from an art collective, so I’ll just add the link to their art group: Blue Surf Art. They specialise in popular subjects in even more popular styles. I bet it sells well.
As I’m browsing through the listings, I’m finding Ebay more and more attractive for buying affordable art (too bad the shipping costs often have to be very high). Today’s featured painter is the German Frank Bergmann. The painting measures 36″ x 48″ (92 x 122 cm). Here’s the Ebay Listing and here’s his Ebay Store.
I recently talked about the tree of life, and here’s another one. I found this painting by the artist Michael Angel on Ebay. Michael Angel, is it his real name or just a reference to Michelangelo, also has his own website.
