Today’s unknown featured artist is Jason Stillman. I found some of his works through Ebay and wasn’t overly impressed with the way he painted entrepreneurs and mother-in-laws. I feel the references are a bit cheap and just not good enough to be humurous as they were intended to be. If he should do a similar work about a professional artist, I might be able to forgive him this little glitch. The unknown painting of the day is called The Walk and contains 2 separate panels of 20″ x 40″ (50 x 100 cm) each.

This small (12″ x 9″ = 30 x 23 cm) painting by the Dutch artist Jan Blencowe was already painted in 2005. I’m guessing the summer back then was a little bit better than the one in 2007. I wouldn’t know where to put this painting, but I like it nonetheless. Here’s Jan Blencowe’s website (in Dutch).

Something poparty for our unknown painting of the day. I know that’s two Elvis posts in one week, but he’s worth it. It’s from an art collective, so I’ll just add the link to their art group: Blue Surf Art. They specialise in popular subjects in even more popular styles. I bet it sells well.

As I’m browsing through the listings, I’m finding Ebay more and more attractive for buying affordable art (too bad the shipping costs often have to be very high). Today’s featured painter is the German Frank Bergmann. The painting measures 36″ x 48″ (92 x 122 cm). Here’s the Ebay Listing and here’s his Ebay Store.

Walter Logeman is our unknown artist for the day. His goal is to make 1000 sketches on his Tablet PC in one year, which leads us to the title of his blog: Thousand Sketches. Since it’s such a huge project it is pretty admirable that Walter succeeds in keeping up a high quality.

Not really a painting of the day for now as I’m getting more and more interested in seeing the passion and craftsmanship of the artists in question. The artist is Joseph Murawski and the painting he’s working on is called Stolen Colour. And surprisingly enough there’s also Joseph Murawski’s website.

Today’s featured artist is V. Vaughan. I don’t really have anything special to say about this, apart from the fact that I like it. Here’s V. Vaughan’s blog.

I recently talked about the tree of life, and here’s another one. I found this painting by the artist Michael Angel on Ebay. Michael Angel, is it his real name or just a reference to Michelangelo, also has his own website.

Debra Hurd – Morning Rain
18″ x 14″ (45 x 35cm)
Another interesting artwork from Ebay today (up for sale here). Debra Hurd has a very recognisable and interesting style of painting with her multicoloured brush strokes. Debra Hurd also owns her own blog and website.
