This giant rubber duck was part of the Loire Estuary 2007. The rubber duck, which measures26 x 20 x 32 meters, was installed at the mouth of the Loire river, from Saint-Nazare to Nantes.

Today’s addition to Artinthepicture.com is American 19th century Naturalist painter Winslow Homer. I actually did not choose his most famous painting (Snap the Whip), because I like this one better.

Our newest artist at Artinthepicture is Christo, who almost everybody knows. So no introduction from me (actually I’m just lazy). Alright then, some pictures of his 2005 project “The Gates” in Central Park (New York) and a drawing of what should be his next project “Over the River“.
