Artinthepicture.com new design
For those of you who regularly visit our main website, this probably isn’t news anymore since our new layout has been online almost for a month now. But the complete redesign of Artinthepicture.com ofcourse merits a post on this blog as well.
The redesign of Artinthepicture.com is a work of young, Belgian graphic designer Joke Vermeiren, who I (not incidentally) talked about in a previous blog post. While it has become a dark theme with some interesting colorful eyecatchers, it was very important to give the art itself the star role. And I believe our designer certainly has succeeded very well at this balancing exercise.
Apart from the new design, we have also changed/added/deleted some things from the old website. The homepage of our website has been upgraded to become a real gateway to everything on our website. A special section on interesting artbooks has been added. On any artist page you know immediately see the most important thing this artist has to offer: the paintings. And we’ve added a search function at the top of every page for easier browsing.
For now, I welcome you all officially to the new and improved Artinthepicture.com !
